Philadelphia alone has two of the most dangerous intersections in the US. In one intersection alone when they put in red light cameras they were averaging one person running a red light ever 6 minutes, 24 hours a day, every day of the month.
PA has one of th highest rates of uninsured motorist.
In Philadelphia there are signs near the traffic signals that say "wait for green", why? they go before the light turns green.
In Philadelphia you can double park for hours if you have your flashers on.

I have to be different and say Georgia. Doesn't matter if you are in the countryside or in Atlanta. They all think "speed limit" means it's the slowest you're supposed to go. Tailgating at 80mph is the norm on the interstates, and way too many people don't know what that little stick on the left side of your steering column does (aka turn signal). Don't let me forget the lack of understanding what double yellow center lines mean on the road. Can't tell you how many idiots have passed me on a double yellow, even though I'm going over the speed limit. Dumbasses.

D.C. - I lived there for almost 3 years and couldn't believe how rude some drivers can be! They actually have aggressive driving cameras on the highways to catch bad drivers!

in accordance to GMAC coverage's annual nationwide motive force try, drivers contained in the Empire State are lifeless very last contained in the country. you could take the try right here; New Yorkers scored an average of 70.5 at the same time as acceptable honors went to Idaho and Wisconsin drivers, who received 80.6. NJ is 2d to very last and California is fourth to very last, with Hawaii in between. NY1's Roger Clark posed some inquiries to drivers—it really is an substitute (spoiler caution, in case you deliberate on taking the try): "Roger Clark: 'A site visitors gentle with a flashing purple signal potential: A) Yield; B) quit; C) caution.' motive force: 'i imagine it really is C. caution, decelerate. after I see it, I decelerate.' Clark: 'actual, you're meant to quit.' motive force: 'you're? i do not quit.'"

I'm not really sure but the drivers in S. Korea were so bad, everyone in the US is an expert in my opinion. Actually, I was there in 1984 and so mostly cab drivers but those cab drivers were really, really bad drivers.

Boston! City-wise. NJ and NY are bad because of the tourists ;-)
So state-wise, I'd say PA (closer to the NJ area...not the western side)

Massachusetts definitely...
It has the highest accident rate by far and it has been that way for a very long time. It is crazy and aggravating.

I would say California, but with the traffice jams (caused in part by the carpool lanes), we're the safest :-)
