The age limit is 65 but really should a 64 year old be allowed to drive with bad eye sight, slow reactions, and a muddled mind? What age do you think that they should stop? Or do you agree it should stay 65?

It's more about the person that their age because everyone is different so it's unfair to say someone is too old to be able to drive.

I think you should get like retested at 60

Stop driving what?

Drivers who have slow reflexes should increase the distance between them and the cars in front of them. They also should drive slower.

But this is for private cars, professional drivers fall under different rules. Which is where it seems that you are coming from. They also have to have doctors clearance. Which might not be a bad idea for drivers of cars no matter what the age, including a monthly blood draw to check for drugs.

That's it lets make every one take a UA before they can start the car. I can see it now urinals built into the dash to piss in before the car will start. Well maybe it should be build into the seat, pick up the lid, leave sample and wait for the test results to come back before the key will work the ignition.

People should stop driving when they can't react fast enough. Some people lose that ability sooner than others, so I don't think placing an age limit is fair. Take my grandfather for example, he's 72 and hasn't lost his edge at all. In my opinion they ought to give people mandatory tests every year to make sure they're still safe drivers.

Depends on the person. Some people shouldn't be driving at 30, does that mean you want the limit pushed down there? I say just start testing them every so many years RIGHT FROM THE START and anyone who can't pass the test gets their license yanked on the spot.

2 hundred years previous is a lot too previous. maximum 2 hundred 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds are zombies or vampires and those are notoriously undesirable drivers, consistently searching for brains or blood to eat. in any different case, the cut back looks someplace above one hundred and five years previous - Verna Truax renewed her license for some greater years. Captain Chesley Sullenberger safely ditched his airliner interior the Hudson at age fifty seven, and retired 0.5 a 300 and sixty 5 days later after 30 years of provider. Captain Alfred Haynes grow to be additionally fifty seven while he saved the lives of 185 human beings, bringing his badly broken airliner in for a survivable crash. The FAA later ran a dozen simulations of the Haynes incident and none led to a survivable crash. between the two one in all those senior pilots there are 340 people who owe their lives to not forcing them to retire. in case you count on reflexes it incredibly is a definite sign you're using too rapid. secure velocity calls for purely modest reflexes. you spot there is an eye fixed try yet not a reflex try for drivers' licenses.

Everyone ages differently, so some people can continue to drive into their seventies, eighties, and even beyond while others cannot or should not, its up to that person, their doctor, their family and their ability to pass the required testing but at the same time what should be done to the teen driving problems ????

16-24 age driver collisions and deaths are about 4X higher than 65+ age. Bad youth are not able to see, have wrong reactions, and their muddled mind is killing FAR people than the elders. It takes 40 years of learning how to avoid collisions.

It should depend on ability and not age. I think you should be tested at 65 and every 5 years after that .

they should give a test yearly after a certain age and you have to pass the test in order to still be allowed to drive.
