Wow. A 2013 range rover?? That's not a piece of junk and it's not old. It's 2015 so it's a 2 year old range Rover ur calling junk? You should feel lucky to have it giving to u to drive. Almost everyone I know my self included have all worked for what we have wheather it's junk or nice. I've never had something like that given to me. And we weren't poor but not wealthy. Either. Range rovers are expensive. So u might want to started up and not be so stuck up and appreciate it. If someone even gave me a old car like a normal car that's like 15 years old I'd be happy cuz its better than nothing. So u have some learning to do

Grow up and realize how blessed you are. Some kids have to take public transportation or walk to school and they don't mind or complain because they know the most important thing is getting an education. What seems the most important to you is material things, what others think, and impressing them, how whack is that? Since you feel entitled and are not happy with a 2 year old Range Rover why not get a job, show some independence then that way you can buy what you like since mommy's hand me down is not good enough, and while you are at it just think about some kid who is struggling just to make it to school and how blessed they would be to be in your shoes then maybe you would be more appreciative of what you have.

good morning , let me enlighten you that you are not grateful. you have a mom, shes giving you a car and your blessed. the problem is your worrying about what people say, why? your lucky shes not making you buy your own which will take longer. At 16 focus on being more appreciative because your in a better position than some. Remember if you dont show your appreciation, God will take things away from you. And its only a 2 yr old car, what the problem? In life you have to work to get what you want, nothing should be handed to you. Right now you can always get what you want later in life , that fits your budget. God can also show you another way is something happen to the car and make you start over, and then there's your test. Now you have to start from the beginning.

WOW! A 2013 ( practically new) range rover is a piece of junk? Are you kidding me? The fact that your mom is trusting you at the age of 16, when you first get your license to drive her car is amazing. I wouldn't want to let me child drive a new car like that to school when they are first learning how to drive. Grow up. I didn't even drive to high school, I rode the bus all years of k-12. When I got into college I drove my sisters and sister in law car for the first year and then I had to take my school loans and get a 2004 Dodge stratus which I love and am very blessed to have. I am 21 now and I have only had that car for a year!! Your mom does not need to buy you a new car nor does she need to provide you with a nice new car to drive to school. You should learn how to be grateful.

You have to be a troll because this is easily the stupidest question I've seen on Y/A. How about you get your a** up, go get a job, and buy your own car instead of being an uppity brat that complains about your mom giving you her "OLD" 20 FU*KING 13 Rover. Fool.

What did you expect? A Rolls Royce? Or maybe a Bentley? Lol get real pal. You're 16 years old, and you are beyond incredibly lucky to be driving a frickin' Range Rover to school. Most teenagers dream of that. And just a quick fun fact, 2013 was TWO years ago. Aka, NOT old. If you want to buy something else, then get off your butt and actually work for it, instead of going on here and complaining about something so ridiculous and clearly what is known as "Rich People Problems"

Earn your own money and buy whatever you want. Just because your parents are rich doesn't make you rich.

Good Luck

Hold on a minute there. If you're refusing a 2013 Range Rover, what do you expect your mom to buy you? A Tesla? A Lamborghini? Get real.

As a 16 year old myself, I would literally die to be able to drive a 2013 Range Rover to school every day. Most 16 year olds in the world don't have a car, and drive their bikes or walk to school (if they don't use public transportation).
2015-11-18 20:16:02 UTC
You are very ungrateful. You should always be an opportunist in life. A range rover is already not inexpensive, and she's giving you a 2013 version? That's an opportunity. The car is only 2 years old, and she's taking care of insurance, car note, and whatever else. If other kids could get cars you would, they would be happy. Most parents don't give their kids expensive cars like that because 1, they are stupid, and 2, if they get into a car accident, your parents name is on the insurance, and the insurance rates will go higher than someone high on methamphetamines. You don't have to pay anything, you just are going back and forth to school, and she takes care of everything? Shiit.. You are SUPER ungrateful. You don't need a new car. You are an ***. Don't worry about what everybody else thinks, that's what is wrong with white American kids. You should be grateful you don't have to walk, or take public transportation with people. You don't need to impress other people. Be happy with what you have. My brother drives a 2015 Mini Cooper Sport, and he wants to get something else and it's from one thing to another when it's in my mother's name for insurance, and on her credit. And he drives 80mph per day when he could have an accident anytime and **** up my mom's name and insurance. When she drives a 2015 Altima. She bought the best for her son. If you are going to be ungrateful maybe I should contact your mother and take it myself. I'll drive my grandmother all around the world in that. -_-

now if you knew enough about cars you would know that a 2013 range rover is FAR from old. I had a 1993 honda civic for my first car so get over yourself and be grateful because I'm pretty sure that car you're being offered to drive is a hell of a lot knewer than half the cars at your school. Be grateful that your being given a car. Majority of us have to pay for our own

You should be grateful, I drive a 2010 Range Rover that I bought and I m 19. Ive been working since i was 16 to afford one and now its paid off and I m trying to buy a weekend driver, AND I m still studying in school getting a education. Don t let what people say dictate what you have as being old. Be grateful your parents love you enough to give you a car. Don t be a spoiled brat.

How can you complain about having a practiacally new Range Rover? I'll tell you something. I'm 17. I have my license but I get dropped off at school every day. Why? Because I can't afford to drive my car. I have a rusty old truck. I walk to my house after school almost every day. I occasionally have a ride. I've had to walk in wind, rain, snow, and ice. If I'm lucky, I can take a family member's car for the day. It certainly isn't a Range Rover. I was excited when I got to drive a new Ford. You are lucky. You are getting a high end expensive car given to you. That sounds like a good deal to me. Also, the 2013 Range Rover doesn't seem any different then the 2015. If you don't like the way it looks, change it. Get new wheels, tint the windows, or get it repainted. Of course, ask permission first before making modifications to someone else's car. Are you getting it or just driving it?

I think you are mistaken in your observation and this is almost a troll like question often planted by people doing a survey. But I will say that you are right, any Range Rover is really a poor piece of auto tech and should be avoided.

A new Range Rover is one of the poorest choices and any repairs are a nightmare.

The Range Rover brand is good for ONE time use across the burning desert or mountains. Then best disposed of. As many are at very low miles. Awesome aluminum bodies with low center of gravity, not so awesome Buick engines. Over priced replacement parts. Many other brands are better for the average person.

Most 16 year olds in the world don't have a car, and drive their bikes or walk to school (if they don't use public transportation). Even if they do have a car, it is usually a used car that costs under $5,000. Your mom is allowing you to take one of the most elite SUVs on the road to school, practically new, and you want her to buy you a new car? Since you said "Range Rover" and not "Range Rover Sport" or "Evoque," your mom's car probably costs over $80,000 new and with decent features can easily get over $100,000. How the barnacles can you not cry out of joy to have the privilege of driving one of the best SUVs on the road today?

Look,

Give me your car if you think thats a piece of junk. I will buy it from your for junk's price. Although, I would say the Range rover 2013 is on of the most powerful engines on the roads. They are the most luxurious and expensive. Don't make your decision by others votes. We dont always get what we want. May be you're mom wanted a Bugatti Veyron but was unable to buy. In the same way, everyone in the world sacrifices for atleast something in life. So, either try to get a job and buy what you want. Or get what you have been offered...

Holy **** dude your a sick mf.Range Rovers are badass. Those mf's at your school don't know **** about cars. Like dude cmon the freackin queen of England drivers a range rover look it up. Also just because your 16 dosent mean **** in the adult world. Your not entitled to **** mf. Hear you are complaining about driving a range rover when I have to ****** find a job just to pay car insurance and having to join the military so I can get by for college. And still I'm not complaining about not having a car. Open your eyes kid. There are no 16 year olds who drive Range Rovers. And who the hell cares if your poor, no ***** you don't no what poor is mf. I'm poor ***** so stfu and be happy you have the opportunity to sit on your *** and drive Range Rovers while you parents work for you and you don't care. Man grow some balls or go get a job to pay for you Lamborghini vereno.

A car is a car. And a range rover at that. What do the other kids drive Ferraris? You can't care what others think of you especially for what you drive. I've been on foot for about four years now and I would take a used 1995 Ford Taurus. Alternatively, work and save up for what you want, but never complain when something is free.

Can you give me the car? :) A bit of background for you: my mum works 50 hours a week and my dad works 40 hours a week. You know what they drive in return? A 2006 Nissan Note. That's by far the best car they've had, I can perhaps understand why you would feel embarrassed driving that.

What are you expecting, a Bentley? NOBODY is going to think you're poor. I live in a reasonably affluent area and nobody thinks I'm poor because of our car (we just are poor, and that's a fact a car can't change). You're incredibly lucky, please take it for granted. I could maybe understand your disgust at the Range Rover if it was missing a door or something minor like that!

your mom should make you get a job and buy your own car. You gotta a lot of nerve acting like you need a brand new car. Who the H E L L do you think you are? Your not all that. EARN what you want there is no free lunch in this life. 2013 range rover is a fine automobile and its not old. What planet are you from?

Think of all of the people out there who are in poverty, they cannot even afford to have one meal a day let alone an education or a car to get them there. They would give up everything they have-not that they have much to have an education and you are moaning about what car you drive to school. Walk, if you are in embarrassed and stop being so ungrateful, if you really want a better car get a job and earn that money yourself then buy the car you want. Do not expect to get spoon fed all your life because, one day you might not have it.

You have loving parents, an education, a roof over your head, food and water; that should be enough. These children in the picture walk miles to just have a sip of water and even that could make them ill, they have never even see a car. Honestly you need to be grateful for what you have even if you think that these people do not concern you or you cannot help them. It doesn't mean you have to be ignorant and ungrateful.
2015-11-20 08:32:34 UTC
If getting out of driving that old piece of junk is not an option, at least make sure your schoolmates realize how badass you are, so they'll forget how poor you are. Do this: Drive the car to school, and then soak it in gasoline and light fire to it. Walk away and try to time it right so that you're still walking away when the car explodes. And by all means, make SURE not to turn around or flinch when the car explodes. That way everyone in school will know how bad a MF you are and that you are not to be messed with. I can assure you no one will bring up the issue of your poverty. As an added bonus, this will force your mom to buy you a new car. They way I see it, it's a win-win-win.

Seriously - suck it up and drive it lol. Thank her for letting you drive it. Some people the same age don't get the opportunity to even have a car to learn to drive in. Be thankful. It shouldn't matter what others at school think. It's not about having material items to make you look cool or to impress your friends. A new car is a big deal, they cost money and you can't expect your mum to fork out money to buy you one just so it makes you feel good. Who cares what your friends think - if they are your true friends, then your friendship wouldnt come down to the car you're driving. Would you not want to be friends with someone who is a genuine caring person just because they may drive a car that is older? Think about it.

Take the Rover! Who cares what they think, youre the awesome one with a car to begin with! You take that Rover and cherish it, some good memories will be with that car when youre ready for a new one and youll respect it even more! Old cars are awesome, in a way thats pretty hipster of you (even though its not old at all)! And at 16 admit it, we're a little reckless at that age, you really want to dent or scratch an expensive car? Heck no, plus bigger cars are better than those fragile little things!

Stop being such a spoiled brat with extreme thoughts that it is your birth right to have a newer car. Take advantage of the situation and find out who the real people are in your high school. Anyone who makes fun of you for it is not your friend. Get a new car and you will have all of the snotty people who accept you only because of your car, and you will find out sooner or later that those people don't really have any friends, they are not the sincere types and are very shallow. If I was your parent and you were complaining I wouldn't even let you have the car, I would sell it and give you just a fraction of what it sold for and tell you to go buy a car yourself.

I know how you feel. You want a new car, yes? I love Range Rovers. I've actually wanted one for my first car. I know where you're coming from, but your mom's car is only two years old. Certainly her car is not junk. If anyone asks, you can lie and say it is a newer model. If it makes you feel better, I go to a school like yours, and a lot of wealthy children get old models for their first cars. Their parents buy them nicer cars as graduation presents. I would prefer a 2013 Range Rover over a 2004 Acura MDX any day. Cars don't define your wealth.

My parents never bought me a car, I live in something called the real world where you have to work and earn money to pay for things you want, stop acting like a spoilt little brat and be grateful that you've been handed a car on a plate yet alone a 2013 range rover.

I'm 19 and have been driving my Dad's 1995 Ford Explorer with 300,000 miles on it since 16, and I had to buy it off him for $500! The automatic door lock/unlock doesn't work, I have to turn the lights on with pliers, and the leather seats are so worn the cloth underneath is exposed. I have been happily driving this car as it does its job, gets me from point A to point B. I'm saving to buy a newer car, but until then I know I'm blessed to even have a car! I'll take that Range Rover off your hands if you're that upset with it though!

It's 1967 and I'm 16.My first car was a 1963 Ford Fairlane. Paid $50 very hard earned dollars as a busboy a Denny's for it. Whenever I tried to start it it would just turn over. My brother-in-law could start it every time. Eventually, I gave it to him and bought a 1960 Chevy Bel Air. Paid $200 for it walking to work for 6 months as a dishwasher. I souped up the motor with a 4 Barrel Holly and a 3/4 racing cam. Then jacked it up and put wide ovals in the back. TELL ME I didn't have a COOL CAR !

Talk about spoiled, you need to be grateful your mom is even getting you a car. It's NOT even that old!!! D:< Heck, if you were my kid and you didn't want to drive my car I wouldn't let you have my Range Rover AND NO CAR FOR YOU. You would go to school walking ,end of story. Also, obliviously they aren't really your "friends" if you are worried that they are going to criticize you based on your wealth. What you should be doing is apologizing to your mom

Talk about a troll question. Someone with that kind of money is NOT going to be posting here. I'll tell you what troll: you bring your OLD Rover out to Vegas and I'll swap it for my "Classic" Mercedes. Win-win for everyone, as I'm tired of the Mercedes and I live where I have lots of uses for a 4 x 4, even if it's only a Range Rover and not a true Land Rover. (I sometime do miss my old Land Rover Series III diesel!)

A 2013 Range Rover for your first car? STOP COMPLAINING. My first car is going to be a ducking 1995 Yukon, with broken air conditioning, and I'm buying it from my grandparents with my own money. Atleast I am ******* appreciative for that. I'd kill to have a 2013 model for my first car. I can't believe you just said that. As much as I want to insult you right now, I won't because that's not the Christian way 😂😂 but please me appreciative. Your mom I'd trying to give you a nice car while saving money. I'd love a range rover. Feel lucky you're not a person like me. Be thankful for the **** you do got instead of pout about the **** you don't got. If you don't want that car, work and save up your own money to get one you do want. It's about time you grow up.

A 2013 range Rover is pretty expensive.

Although I personally would like to drive one since they're very sporty and one of my favorite years.

I would say sell her car and buy a nice car both of you agree on.

Unless your realize that range Rover has a ton of benefits. Lots of room, big engine, most likely awd so u can go anywhere. You can take most of you friends, you can be the driver the most popular one of then all lol

Dude don't be ungrateful. I drive a 2002 Ford ranger 4 door that I had to buy off my father for 5K and yeah its not the prettiest thing but when it comes down to the facts. its reliable, good gas mileage, and it gets me from A-B and most importantly....Its a vehicle. a lot of people my age (22) don't even have a car so the fact that your 16 with a rover means u need to be happy and grateful. Be grateful to your mom for giving you a relatively new car. And last but not least you are your own man. you shouldn't care but a bunch of idiots at a high school think about you.

If you think a 2013 car is bad you are most definitely a spoiled brat and you don t deserve a car and if you still can t get over it go get a job and figure out how to buy a car yourself you piece of **** people starving in 3rd world countries can only dream of getting a car. Instead about bitching about your minor problems count your blessings. I already know at least 8 that you have, 1 you have a mom 2 you re getting a car 3 you have shelter 4 you have enough food to eat 5 you have shelter 6 you have a way to whine about your problems 7 you re privileged to go to an expensive school 8 you get to go to school. Are you kidding me? I'm old enough to be your mother, and I drive a 2002 Subaru and I'm grateful to have that. If someone GAVE me a 2013 Range Rover I'd think I'd died and went to heaven. If you were MY kid, I'd take the car keys away permanently and make you walk or take mass transit everywhere until you got off your lazy butt and WORKED to earn the money to buy your own car, you ungrateful little sh!t.

Hmm.

Mommy gives me a car. I don't have to pay for the car. Saves me a couple thousand by giving me a free ride. Oh, it's 2 years old. Such junk. What ever should I do?

Wanna know what to do? Stop being a spoiled little b*tbh and maybe be a little grateful. What do you do? Hug your mother and tell her THANK YOU. you rotten little brat. Want a shiny new car? Go get a job. Go ahead and juggle that with school. I'm pretty sure if you asked half the kids in your school if they want a free car they'd say HELL YES! you're so ungrateful.

Let me tell you something kid: I grew up in an extremely wealthy family, but you know what I got when I was 16 from my parents? A job. They made me get one as soon as I turned 16. When in my senior year, I could finally afford to buy myself a car, all I could get was a 2001 Honda Civic. Keep in mind that I went to one of the snobbiest schools in California, so driving an old Honda Civic was definitely not considered cool. Yet I was proud of it and I loved it so much, because I EARNED it. I didn't rely on my dad's money to make something of myself. Were there people calling me poor? Yeah, of course. But in truth, my family was probably richer than all of theirs put together. it's just unlike all those snobby kids, my family actually taught me work ethics and that money is a privilege, not a right. Who cares if people think you're poor? People who know you and love you should be all ou care about. Consider yourself blessed, not lots of people get to drive Range Rovers at 16.

I hope you're joking, but to answer your question, you should appreciate what they give you to drive. Most people in the world (maybe not at your school, but generally) do not get anything given to them. You may want to take a look around. Most people here would love to drive a 2013 Range Rover.

I got news for u bro. A Range Rover is a flame car. That's the best car in the lot at most schools. I have the nicest car at my school and it's a 2005 Audi. Given I love my car it will outperform a range all day. It's no range lol.

Woah..you're incredibly ungrateful. I am 22 from Australia and still haven't got a car. I will be getting one in a few months but guess what? I am buying it with my own money. You're bloody 16 and got handed a 2013 range rover. My car probably won't even be newer than a 2010 model! Grow up.

I'm 16 years old and I have a Toyota Celica that's 22 years old, from 1993. I treat that car like my absolute child, I wash it and make sure it looks nice and you'll never find a single wrapper laying on the floor. When my parents gave that car to me I cried for hours out of happiness because it was completely unexpected. When I woke up for the next week, my first thought was that I had a car outside waiting for me, and I just smile uncontrollably. It's so old it doesn't even have cup holders or an aux cord and I have to manually turn the lights off or else my car battery would die. I'm so grateful for my car, I thank my parents all the time for it. Stop being ungrateful, some people still take the bus to school. Who cares what people think of you, 2013 is practically brand new. If I were you I would give your parents a big hug and thank them RELENTLESSLY. People like you upset me so badly..... Get over yourself and accept your parent's generous offer.... Jeez.

I didn't even get a car. I paid $9000 in payments.bought my first car my self. if you want something better. get a job. Maybe you mom or dad will try a deal. where what you earn they will match. My uncle tried that for me. I didn't do it in time before he passed away. But I'll tell a range rover is one of the most expensive cars. you should be proud to have it. instead of being ungrateful. And you don't respect things you don't earn. so personally. I don't believe you deserve it. You are not entitled to what you want. remember this. If I was your pops. you'd be bus stop bound.

Remember this when you finally grow up. You have the new version of immaturity called the Kim Kardashian, spoiled brat disease. Right now you do not deserve a car to drive to school. Take the bus, or walk.

Someone gives you a car and you complain its not a new car. Work 40-60hrs week for 3yrs and buy your own car. Wait you also have to pay for an apartment, utilities, insurance both for the car and your health. and food. So your parents support you with clothes food a safe place to live, and give you a car to drive and you complain. You should feel ashamed.

You ought to thankful that you have a mother that willing to give you a car to drive. A 2013 isn't old. My 16 year old takes a school bus to school. I won't buy him a car or give him a car. He will have to get a job and earn money to help pay for such an expensive gift and also insurance. So little girl you ought to be thankful you have a mother. I'm grandma raising my grandson. Some children don't have the extravagance of having parents.

Very simple. Walk to school instead. You'll get great exercise, and with all the $$$ you save on gas, maintenance & insurance, you'll be rolling in dough! And wear nice clothes if you still need to impress everyone else. Either this or Option #2 - stop being a spoiled brat, thank your Mom every day you have a nicer car than most ADULTS have, and have enough self-respect to stop caring what other people think.

Be very grateful about riding in a Range Rover. They're vehicles footballers' wives and Hollywood types drive to get milk or groceries. They're also used in the royal armed forces as transport vehicles (not combat ones) during war.

Suck it up and be a man. a 2003 range rover isn't old. Honestly kid look up how much that car coasts. the car a drove to school was a 2003. Be lucky your driving a car to school when people are starving in 3rd world countries.
2015-11-22 19:06:01 UTC
Be happy with the fact that you have a car. Having an old range rover is better than not having a car at all.You shouldnt worry about what your fellow peers think about you.

Are you kidding me fool! My first car was an 1998 corolla. I would be nothing but happy to drive an 2013 range rover. I'm working my butt of to pay off a 2007 impala. And your mom is gladly giving you a range rover . I WISH SHE SAW HOW BRATTY YOU ARE AND GAVE YOU A 1998 COROLLA TO LEARN YOUR LESSON

YOu msut be out of your mind! A 2013 RANFGE rover is NOT an "OLD" car at all! Where is your head! I drive a 1997 MERCEDES that is cheaper to insure! At 16 you are nOT thinking very straight! They shoudl get you a 1990 FORD CLUNKER to drive at your age with inusrance so outlandisly priced! GROW UP and stop thinking about making BIG impressions on your high school friends! CRIPeS SAKE!

Are you serious or are you just trolling. You should appreciate what your parents have for you a 2013 Range Rover. My parents handed me a 1999 Toyota Tacoma and I'm greatful for it. It's just your first car it shouldn't matter if it's junk it's free and it will get you places. Quit being so selfish little rich kids need to find out what it's like to live in the struggle so y'all can be greatful for anything you receive. SMH

what kind of spoiled brat are you. youre complaining because you dont want a two year old range rover? what do u want, a ferrari? get real.

plus if you cant afford a newer better car then you shouldnt pretend youre rich. so what if you go in a jacked up 2010 prius? youre not rich, and thats not ur fault and no one should be able to judge anyone else based on how much money they have.

No I think your right you should be concerned about the car! Just think what everyone is going to think of the size of your manhood, also you need to put a personal number plate on there, something that really shows off the spoilt idiotic kid that you are.

I guess what i'm saying is that you need to sample the truth about life first, live a bit, explore all the going wrongs in the world then and only then should you be let loose near any type of vehicle, I strongly suggest a pushchair and not one to push your little illegitimate child around in (you just never know these days) but one for you to actually ride around in yourself until the day of course that you might just grow up (long shot I know) I can't believe that you are one of our hopes for the future... Such a shame, education today has gone to pot!

Like what the others say, you are one ungrateful brat. Be glad that at least you got a car to drive to school. If you feel that your pride got hurt over it, just ask your mom to drive you to school or better still, walk to school (it's healthy). One thing you should learn at your age is not to fall for peer pressure or trend fever. It helps along the way as you grow up to resist pressure and be a better individualistic self that does not conform to all what society or what people wants you to do. That way you will learn real life experience and to think with your own mind. It's either you take it or leave it advice.

Just my 2 cents thought.

2015-11-18 18:26:56 UTC
I had to buy my own car at sixteen, a used 2003 Saturn for $6,000. Like any reasonable person, I respected the fact that nothing in life is free-- so I rolled up my sleeves, worked hard, got enough income going to pay off the car entirely plus pay for gas and insurance, and was proud of what I did. I loved that car because I earned it, and I still drive it, take good care of it and love it... my little "plain Jane" that reliably gets me wherever I need to go.

Story of most kids' lives. And here you are, calling a <2 y/o luxury sedan "junk" and not even being grateful for having it handed to you for free?

Grow a pair, kid. Life's hard and you're clearly not ready to face any of the hardships that come with it.
bailey
2015-11-18 17:04:23 UTC
Dude I would gladly take that as my first car! Range rovers are nice and 2013 isn't old for a car at all! Don't be spoiled!
2015-11-17 23:09:12 UTC
Are you kidding me? 2013 is old??? That's is still new in my opinion and is not junk. You should be happy to have a car to drive. Some people wished they have a car to drive, but cannot afford one. I didn't have a car in high school and had to walk there. When I went to college, I had to lease a car because my college was a far distance from my home.

2015-11-19 20:44:51 UTC
you should be grateful that you are even getting a car. As far as i know your mum will probably be paying for your spoilt *** to drive it. You wouldn't hear a little village indian boy complaining about getting a second hand range rover.
?
2015-11-17 21:34:09 UTC
Well you should be happy your parents gave you a car instead of being an ungrateful brat. Not only are you spoiled but for some reason you worry about what people will think of you. I would suggest you grow up before you get behind the wheel, you are obviously way to immature for the dangers and responsibilites that come with driving.
2015-11-18 13:29:26 UTC
Your just a spoiled little brat. You freaking grateful you have a 2013 Range Rover!
?
2015-11-18 18:34:17 UTC
My car is from 1997. Its older than me by a year! It's 18 and runs nice and we had it painted to make it look prettier. Other than the rich spoiled kids or lucky ones nobody here has a car to fancy. The car I have is from my sis years ago. If kids think you're poor they must be pretty spoiled. Having any car is lucky especially when so many people have to walk and take the bus to work or school every day.
?
2015-11-18 21:30:20 UTC
Stop trolling us you asshole. I didn't get my first car until I was 20 and it was my grandmother's Volvo, bless her heart.

More than likely you're faking this question just to get some attention. No person in their right mind would give a 16 year old a car, much less a $50,000 SUV.

If your inquiry does happen to be true, then you're really nothing more than a spoiled brat :)

Get down on your knees and thank your mother for giving you a car that thousands would love to have and quit whining about your life. A two year old car is better than most working people have let alone someone still in school. I just hope life does not teach you the hard lessons most of us have to learn, but I do think someone should have taught you gratitude and humility- like your overly indulgent parents.

I hope your Mom reads your post and decides not to let you drive to school UNTIL YOU GROW UP! Obviously, although you may be 16 years old, you are a little child when it comes to your attitude. I would not let you drive any of my vehicles. I have 2 daughters, both of whom drove our 2001 Lincoln LS to and from school until they were able to purchase their own vehicle. Yes, other kids were given new cars by their parents and yes, sometimes other kids joked about the car my daughters drove, but my daughters were thankful that they had something to drive. A 2013 vehicle is only 3 years old. Grow up and be thankful.

Buy a 2005 or so Ford Focus. Cheap to buy, cheap to own, cheap to feed and cheap to insure. A 2013 is way too new for a new driver. A good new driver has a 60% chance of wrecking in the first year, 80% in the first three years.

A man has to learn to stand on his own, not to hide behind silly status symbols like cars.

WOW... I was given a 1997 saturn station wagon Manuel transmission when my grandmother passed, loved that car it was brownish purple, no hot rod nothing special! of course it was totaled while parked at school and i was left with a full time job and no car..... I work 20 hours a week during school and 42 during summer to make my car payment for my 2011 ford focus which i consider very new! I'm 17 years old..... be grateful that is a very nice car for someone as immature as you! Considering everything else is most likely given to you based on your attitude!

Your mom is a *****. Tell her she is destroying your social life and needs to get with the program 2013 is almost 3 years ago it should be thrown in the dumpster. I got a new Bugatti as my first car at age 2 and i had to cuss out my dad because i wanted the 93' McLaren F1 (old but $10m car) and my own private island with ponys, unicorns and rainbow pops to drive it on. Instead of an island he got me a hooker. You can't drive Bugatti on a hooker... Well you shouldn't at least.. Unless there's no one around

Learn to grow up when I was 17 my mom finally bought me a $400 ford focus I was upset yeah it was so cheap but I got over it learned life sucks and isn't fair eventually my car blew up yeah so now I'm turning 19 and going to be paying for my own car collage and my own house so learn to appreciate things in life because they aren't going to last long soon life will suck. So get over it. That's plain and simple what it is you can ask any hard working adult that hasn't had everything handed to them and they will tell you the same exact thing.

if your complaining about an old 2013 range rover then consider taking the bus, train or better yet just walk to school if it will be embarrassing for you to drive an "old car". and well if you don't like those options well then find a job and buy yourself a "newer car" good luck with that. hopefully one day you'll learn to appreciate what you have

There are children out there who have parents that don't even provide the basic physical needs,or any extras. Suck it up buttercup. Grow up and go tell your mother thank you! Stop hanging out with kids who make you feel like your not good enough. Learn what it means to appreciate things and the hard work it takes to get them... if your already trying to keep up with the Jones your going to have a big problem when your all grown up kid... if you were my child and this wasnt good enough I would tell you to walk your ungrateful *** to school, get a job and buy a bus pass. I would leave the car parked in the drive way, and make you wash it every weekend but never let you drive it. Smh, it's probably not all your fault you think like this now, but it will be all your fault if you don't change your thinking! #privilegedproblems

mom is correct -you are incorrect - could also use the words wrong, spoiled, immature and brat, but don’t want to hurt your feelings-

please look at the rest of the world - millions don’t have enough food or shelter or water- why not try something like volunteering to help someone and try to stop thinking of your own small life- so many times the people who have little are the ones who give the most- drive the car, and why not pick up some classmates who don’t have a car and help them out- you could make some true friends. good luck.

WOW what you should do is STFU and appreciate the things your parents give you. I'm 18 and a senior in high school and I have yet to get a car because I have to work for the things I want, and I thank my parents for not raising me like they raised you, because obviously you are a spoiled ungrateful brat that only cares what others think.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you drove or how popular you were. Why? Because as you get older you realised that your car doesn't define you. It's what you have done good or what you have done bad. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with wanting things you like, but right now I feel, like, you should focus more on your education instead of the type of car, sweetie. x

It's a car. It may not be the prettiest, but it is still a car. If you have a job, save up. It may take awhile, but you will get there eventually. Also, think about the car insurance also. Don't care about what other people say, it's a car

Don't let her push you around like that. Just make it clear that she MUST buy you a new car or you'll move out, get a job, and buy a new car with your first paycheck. Since you'll be getting a new car anyway she might as well buy it for you.

See how simple that is? Let me know how it works out.

Because you are poor. Your parents are rich but you are poor. You are only as rich as the money you actually own. So you and most of your schoolmates are poor, the the mere attempt to try to keep up with them is a sign that you're just a poser. Hell, I'm part of the 1% but I never buy stuff based on fad and image. I only buy cars because I need them to bring me to point A to B and I never bother about brands.

Your problem is your a spoiled brat who instead of being thankful for what you do have you think your entitled to things most people will never have.

Grow up young grasshopper for you will be very unhappy later in life if you continue on this path. Nobody owes you a thing and your only entitled to what you earn yourself. The sooner you get this simple process into your feeble mind the better off you will be.

Do not think about what other people think. If you don't have the money then you take what you get. You should be thankful she's actually offering you a car other than using it for her own benefit. There is an old saying that says "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit"

I went a nice school, due to one of my parent's belief system my sis and I dressed shabbily! People in my school thought I was poor. It hurt me a lot, that I was seen as poor. I wasnt included/invited on the gossip or parties, because of this I was forced to make friends who I assumed to be uncool. But they are more real than the friends I would have made. 15 years fast forward to today ( reality) I have a stable financial status, a humble career, real friends, lovable family.

Although it was a tough phase of life to be seen as poor, I waded through and I am thankful in many ways.

My two cents- even if people think you are poor, let them. You cant please everyone all the time.

you ask, what you should do. well you should smack yourself. and apologize to your mom for being an ungrateful brat. you should also be told by your mother that you will not be getting a car from her period, to borrow or to have! you should try living at reasonable means, not above yours or others. you should humble yourself and thank God and your mother for what you do have. Including your mother! You should also now understand the bad consequences of ones character when having too much handed to them and spoiled so you can not make the same mistake with your kids. you should be working for what you want. we as parents sometimes hand too much out because we love you and in reality i have learned first hand we get an ungrateful child who has not learned the value of work or appreciation. you should HUMBLE yourself.

Demand a new one. Tell your mother that you hate her, cross your arms over your chest, make a pouty face, and tell her that you will hold your breath until you die, if she doesn't buy you a new Range Rover.

Then make good on your threat.

I am 21 and drive a USED 2001 toyota camry, it came with a cracked windshield and a scratch on the bumper. Worst part is, i am POOR. Parents failed me, they were drug addicts from the get go. Had to get a job and buy it myself. I had to get my food and clothes from the church growing up, be glad your parents are that generous. If anyone gives you any crap, why should you even care? Be thankful for what you got, especially when there s nothing wrong with it.

Dear teen,

I am so sorry you are going through this awful time in your life! In order for you to get through this you really need to discuss this with your mom!! Without a doubt in my mind this terrible thing you are going through I know for sure will fallow you through your life and cause major mental damage! ....I really hope she has the funds to pay for the best psychotherapist so you have an outside outlet to overcome the obvious harassment and bullying from your peers!! I myself had to deal with a very similar ordeal as a child....(bullying and harassing comments were around also 33 years ago when I was just 7 years old)

I will tell you my story.....

I actually grew up poor but I was in brownies (aka-girlscouts) (which was free then) All the girlscout troops were all getting together at a school for a really big halloween party, I was very excited!!!! My mom worked at night so my dad was taking me. We did not have any money for a costume so my dad said he would make me the best costume that everyone would love it and if they had a contest I would be sure to win!!!! Sounds pretty good so far right???? So after my father was almost done with his 12 pack of Budweiser beer and about 20 minutes before the party started my dad was ready to put my costume together.....he had me go and put on one of my older brothers old ripped and dirty jeans and a big old shirt and then my dad had me put one of his oldest ripped flannel shirts.......and here is where it really gets exciting!!!!!!! I am standing in my kitchen with my dad and he is literally hysterical......finally he calms down and gets his ash tray and wipes ciggerette ashes all over my face to make me look dirty!!!! So now I ask him what I am??? I am a bum!!! I know now that after my dad had finished his case of beer and drove me to the party I should have been more thankful for all his hard work. But that night i was so embarassed of my costume and my fathers VERY LOUD drunk laughter that I hid in the hallway till it was over crying my eyes out all alone and went to my dad when he called for me to take me home.......and guess what I thanked him so much and praised him for everything he did that night!!! So you see....as to your very horrible circumstance it may be wise just to walk?!?! and if this question you are asking people is really true......you really really need a ton of help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I have told you my dear is a true story, please if you really do feel the way you do with asking people this most ridiculous question, don't expect anyone to have anything nice to say!!!

I know my story has nothing to do with a car....I am a happy woman who had a couple of very young parents that were not able to give my siblings and I not very much....can't forget the homemade halloween costumes but the little things we did get we were more then thankful because even if we had a father who was a alcoholic with a mother who worked her a$# off at night we were raised to be thankful and respect what we were given which I am happy to say these same qualies have followed us through our life and we are all healthy and good honest people!!
Jeff

I would have beat you up for this stupid question if we had gone to school together. Why do you feel entitled to a brand new car, let alone a 2013? Wake up dumb dumb. I had to break my back to afford a car and you know what? People didn't make fun of me because they knew I earned what I had.

Get a perspective on what actually matters in life. Your snobby school mates opinions isn't one of those things. Thank your lucky stars your family has enough money to give you a luxury SUV to drive when you're only 16, even if it isn't perfect.

we have a 2001 and a 1993

A lot of kids up here are driving 2001s too.

2015-11-17 19:25:54 UTC
perhaps you should be thankful that your mom is willing to GIVE you a vehicle at all. I assume she is not making you pay for insurance which is probably around $100 a month. Is it paid off or will you be taking over the payments for that too? What about gas, do you expect to sponge off your mother for gas money or do you have a job to support this vehicle that you have been given you ungrateful piece of crap.

2015-11-18 16:57:58 UTC
What should you do? You should be grateful and say Thanks Mom. My car is a 2000, and I bought it myself. You may not think it at this time, but you are lucky, so relax, take what you can get and if you do not like it, buy what you want. Whatever you do, drive safely.
2015-11-19 15:13:39 UTC
bro it's better than nothing and you sound pretty ungrateful from what I read. Lots of teens would want to be in your place including me, but your acting spoiled. I just think you should think about how fortunate you are to have a mom like yours to let you drive her car and you need to thank her
Ariel

I do not think you are looking for friends the right way. If you find the right people to be around, you should not be nervous about how you are perceived. A good friend is someone who knows you for who you are on the inside. They will look past what is on the outside and focus on the things that absolutely interest you. Please, try a sport, club, (etc.). You would be surprised at the people you find !
