one would think that they would have to be. car seats are safety tested and have to adhere to standards so one would think if a car company an putting in car seats built in that they would have to adhere to the same standards when used correctly

yes, and there are studies that show that it may be the safest carseat to use in that vehicle. if it comes built into that vehicle, you know that it has been reviewed and tested in that vehicle. with safety standards as strict as they are today i would say, i dont think you can a much more safer car seat for that vehicle.
